Learning From My Gambling Failures

January 20th, 2017

I have been betting on the web or at brick and mortar gambling dens for a lot of years. I have learned, the fixation can grab a hold of you and you won’t even see it until you are bankrupt. Especially if you are on a run. I have gone through uncounted tens of thousands of dollars in just a tiny period of time and even today, I can go too long. It seems you are just enjoying yourself up until you make a choice to track your squanderings and the guilt sets in, and then you continue advising yourself "I can earn it back" again and again. It never works. Then you feel queasy in your stomach and the harder you try the more rapidly you relinquish.

When you see that you are in the black, STAY in the Black! When you begin to lose, don’t convince yourself, "well only 1 more" and again and again, believe me, this technique RARELY ever works. Say you are playing on slot machines, keep a pot separate ahead of beginning your gambling. DON’T go over that cap, no matter how appealing. If you happen to gain, put the winnings in a different cup. Don’t spend your earnings regardless of what happens. Once you have wagered through your initial set range, stop. Depart, whether it’s on the internet or in a land based gambling hall, don’t stick around. At all times keep in mind, there certainly is another day, other times. Clearly, this technique can work for any game that you gamble on, be it bingo, poker, electronic poker, keno, vingt-et-un or any other game.

Remember, betting should be enjoyable not exhausting, appalling work! If you aren’t having fun yourself, you don’t belong there. If you can’t manage the squanderings, do not even begin.

Do Not Drink … Play!

If you enjoy a cocktail occasionally, leave your money out of the casino if you are going to do your drinking in a casino. I’m serious. Leave your pocketbook, your money belt, and keep all cash, credit cards and chequebooks at home. Take whatever cash you expect to use on refreshments, tipping and few dollars you intend to lose and keep the remainder behind.

Contemptuous? Not at all. Realistic more like. You could experience a profit after a drunken evening out with your friends and be blessed sufficiently to catch a long toss at a on fire craps table. Don’t forget that account considering that it’s as short-lived as it gets if you continuously drink and gamble. The pair just do not go well together.

Keeping your moolah back at the hotel might be a little drastic, but preventative measures for dramatic actions is essential. If you wager to succeed, then do not drink and play. If you like to burn your assets without a worry, then consume all the free beer you can handle, but don’t pack credit cards and chequebooks to toss into the mix of chasing losses after your dead drunk head throws away every little thing!

Allow me to take this a single step further. do not consume alcohol and then jump on the web to play in your preferred casino either. I enjoy a beer from the comfort of my condominium, but since I am hooked up through Neteller, Firepay and keep charge cards near by, I can not drink alcohol and wager.

Why? Even though I don’t consume alcohol a lot, once I drink alcohol, it is clearly enough to blur my judgment. I gamble, so I do not drink when gambling. If you are more of a drinker, don’t bet at the same time. The two mix up for an awful, and expensive, cocktail.
